Why didn't I ever think of that? Perhaps because on the long rides I need all the fluids I can get, and never thought about really taking full advantage of the aid stations.
For long training rides, I stuff tubes, C02 cartridges, etc in my jersey pocket to make room for water bottles. Once, I even stuck another bottle of water in my jersey pocket. :) It's surprising how much those pockets can hold!

ReplyDeleteI once did a race with a bottle in my jersey pocket. By T2 it was empty, and I forgot to remove, so I did half the run with it bugging me.
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious, Keith! At least you didn't go running out of T2 with your helmet still on. LOL!!
